Jovita Wang part of NAPABA's inaugural Leadership Advancement Program

Jovita Wang was selected as a fellow for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA)’s inaugural Leadership Advancement Program. The kick-off conference was held in San Francisco from September 21 to 23, 2018. The Leadership Advancement Program is a year-long program to develop high-potential Asian Pacific American attorneys’ leadership skills, while providing an opportunity to foster genuine relationships between in-house counsel and law firm attorneys. The kick-off conference focused on leadership assessments, team building, networking, and training on how to obtain senior leadership positions in corporations and law firms and how to transcend the unique hurdles facing Asian Pacific Americans.

Acceptance to the Leadership Advancement Program was limited to 24 participants nationwide, 12 of whom are law firm attorneys and 12 of whom are in-house counsel, each with approximately 6-10 years of legal experience. This year, the program was co-developed and hosted in partnership with the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
