On Friday, March 13, 2020, attorney Kirc Emerson will speak at the Oregon State Bar's CLE seminar on "Controversial Issues in Mediation," which is co-sponsored by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section. Come gain an understanding of the legal malpractice limits under Alfieri v. Solomon, where the Oregon Surpreme Court addressed the extent to which the confidentiality provisions of Oregon's mediation statutes (ORS 36.100 et seq.) affect the parties' ability to offer evidence of communications in a subsequent legal negligence action.
