MARISSA KORBEL
attorney
Marissa Korbel loves to tell a compelling story, whether writing for major news outlets like the Washington Post or for her clients. Marissa brings refreshing directness to her work. She knows that the most persuasive writing balances clarity, thoroughness, and brevity.
Before joining Richardson Wang LLP, Marissa worked at a nonprofit dedicated to serving sexual assault survivors, focused particularly on privacy rights for minors and campus survivors. She was a law clerk to the Hon. Patricia L. McGuire (Multnomah County Circuit Court), the Hon. Howard R. Lloyd (Northern District of California) and an extern to the Hon. Robert E. Jones (District of Oregon). In her off hours, Marissa is an essayist whose work appears in Guernica, Harper’s Bazaar, The Rumpus, and in the critically-acclaimed anthology Burn it Down: Women Writing about Anger (2019).
